We’re cooking up new projects:

Since May, we’ve been working on Artificial Beauty. Co-funded by AFCN, AB will take shape as a photo-video exhibition and an album. Family photographs, retouched images, AI-generated visuals — an exploration of our times, in which we may be witnessing, without quite realizing it, the redefinition of beauty standards.

Semi-historical research. A snapshot of Romanian fashion styles from the 1970s to the present — not an academic study, but a living recovery of the key style markers of each decade, placed in international context.

Photo archive. An effort to collect, digitize and archive thousands of family and press photographs, valuable for capturing the outfits worn by their subjects — real people, in real moments.

Video documentary. Interviews with designers, historians, sociologists and artists on the evolution of Romanian dress, combined with contemporary footage shot on the pedestrianized Calea Victoriei in summer. The material may become a short documentary film depending on the final cast and the quality of the interviews.

being coOL is something related to a time and place. it ages quickly and becomes cringe. then ‘cringe’ gets back its original meaning and what used to be cool becomes something that is described with a new term for ‘awkward’ and ‘best-to-avoid’.

our statement is that living is an activity worth indulging in. and living is best when done according to some standards. we use COOLT as in COOLTURE – an invented term coined for expressing something that keeps being cool with the passing of time.

to our best knowledge, what keeps being cool is the very commitment to living in a certain manner, to certain standards. culture is non-dispensable – it’s at the core of our thriving as human beings. feeding and breeding fall short of making life worthwhile. we need to createdreameinventtryfailrepeat to make it right.
